Wolfpack Gear is an ISO 9001 (ISO) Quality Manufacturer and has completed certifications with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) as well as completing the rigorous UL testing process.
By working with the NFPA, Wolfpack Gear can better ensure the safety and usability of its current product line as well as future generations of protective fire clothing and equipment. Through its ISO 9001 certification, Wolfpack Gear hopes to take its product quality requirements worldwide. Firefighters can look forward to superior performance from the new standards for design, performance, testing, and certification.
Why is certification and independent testing so important? Don’t take our word for it, learn from the NFPA, ISO, and UL.
NFPA Compliance - How does it work?
As stated by NFPA:
"One reason NFPA codes and standards are so widely adopted is because they are developed using an open, consensus-based process, and therefore represent a balance of interests. ... Since this process includes a broad range of technical expertise and fire safety interests, the resulting codes provide adequate protection to the public without stifling design or development. They also consistently withstand judicial scrutiny. Finally, since the process depends largely upon volunteers, there is little or no cost to the taxpayers."
ISO 9001 Certification – Why does it matter?
ISO 9001 Quality Systems is a series of standards defining minimum requirements a company must meet to assure customers of a consistent quality. Since its introduction in 1987, the ISO 9000 series has been increasingly used worldwide as the standard for quality registration.
UL Listing Mark - What does it mean?
Products that bear the UL Classification mark have been evaluated for specific properties, a limited range of hazards, or suitability for use under limited or special conditions. In our case the products have been evaluated for specific properties (such as flammability and heat resistance), performance under specific conditions as set by NFPA 1977, 2005 edition.
